Bachelor of Science in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering

The Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Houston prepares graduates to develop the processes used to manufacture products and materials, as well as manage the consequences of these processes through pollution control and hazardous waste management.

Students specialize in one of six areas: chemical process engineering, biotechnology, process control, electronic materials, environmental engineering and petroleum engineering.

Minor in Petroleum Engineering

The increasing global demand for hydrocarbon fuels has created many new job opportunities in the oil and gas industry. A petroleum engineering minor can increase a graduate's marketability.


Admission requirements for the University of Houston's Cullen College of Engineering are higher than University of Houston requirements. Please review both college and university requirements.
